Welcome to Matre Yoga
A soft, intentional space for your journey into motherhood.
A four-week prenatal series for just five mums - purposeful movement, actual rest, and a pot of tea afterwards.
Giving you room to breathe before it all changes.
Four weeks. Five mats. One small circle.
An intimate prenatal yoga series in a calm home studio in Marrickville. Each week we move through the five koshas - preparing your body for birth and giving your mind somewhere to land - then stay for tea and honest conversation with the other mums in the room. No rushing in and out. Real connection, started during pregnancy rather than months after.
Bookings are open

In yoga philosophy, you’re more than a physical body. You're a layered map of physical tissue, flowing breath, emotional currents, inner wisdom, and pure joy - the five koshas. Pregnancy shifts all of them at once.
Over four weeks we move gently through each:
Week 1 Annamaya Kosha - physical grounding
Week 2 Pranamaya Kosha - flowing breath
Week 3 Manomaya Kosha - mental space
Week 4 Vijnanamaya Kosha - inner wisdom
Every week Anandamaya Kosha - total bliss
My relationship with movement changed when I became a mother. I'd always been fast-paced - running at thirty weeks, spin classes up and until my daughter arrived - so slowing down to prepare for birth and connect with my baby didn't come naturally. Then she arrived, and movement became my moment: time for my body, for her, and for other mums in it with me.
Matre came straight out of those needs - the honest, low-sensory space I wish I'd had. I can't wait to share it with you.
